Shery Hendrikse

Bio
A Chartered Accountant, Shery has a Degree in Commerce from Otago University, majoring in Accountancy and Marketing, and a Graduate Diploma of Science majoring in Psychology. Shery has worked as a Marketing Manager for a range of profit and not for profit organisations.
Over recent years Shery has worked with clients to identify and implement suitable business structures, accounting software solutions, provide accurate monthly reporting and track performance against budget. She has also assisted a number of clients to value their business and facilitate successful sales and purchases. Shery has considerable experience in accounting for domestic and international investments ensuring IRD compliance.
Outside of work Shery loves spending time with her family and staying fit.
Aaron Hooper

Bio
Aaron brings to MAQ a wealth of experience in banking and finance after working in the banking industry for over 20 years.
His last role was Regional Manager of Westpac, leading a team of 80 staff. Aaron offers sound advice with the financing of capital projects, and building an effective relationship with your banking partner.
Aaron has combined this experience with his accounting degree to work with a range of businesses to set strategies and monitor progress. He has a pragmatic, realistic approach combined with a great sense of humour. He has a passion for people and how to structure a working environment that enables your team to shine.
Out of work, Aaron enjoys playing football, keeping fit and spending time with his family.
Mark Wilson

Bio
Mark is a born and bred Whangarei boy, and has been involved in public practice Chartered Accounting since 1989 before starting his own practice in 2001. He went on to join MAQ Chartered Accountants as a Director in April 2007.
Mark has worked with clients to develop appropriate business structures, prepare budgets to monitor performance against budget, and restructure bank finance. He has also resolved IRD issues and offers sound tax advice going forward. Mark has specialist knowledge in the charity sector, assisting organisations to meet new reporting requirements. He is also very experienced in farm accounting and meeting the unique challenges of this sector, including succession planning.
Outside of work Mark enjoys the odd trail run and having recently "hung up the football boots", he is able to blat around in his Mini Cooper a bit more often.
Kirsty Taylor
Senior Accountant

Bio
Kirsty is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Management and a Professional Diploma in Accounting.
Kirsty has considerable experience in tax, compliance work and management reporting.
During her time as an auditor she developed her knowledge of reporting requirements, accounting and auditing standards, the not-for-profit sector, as well as an eye for detail.
Kirsty is passionate about learning and sharing knowledge and leads the MAQ team in training and development.
Outside of work Kirsty enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
